How can I limit claims to a single Date of Service?

By default, EMR Datacenter creates claims with up to six (6) line items per claim.  As a result, it is possible to have multiple dates of service on a claim as well as dates of service 'split' between two (2) claims.  This can be an issue particularly if you do not create claims the last day of the year.  You may end up with transactions from the previous year on a claim.

In preferences, you can tell EMR Datacenter to only put one (1) date of service on each claim.  To do this, go to:

Tools > Preferences > Insurance tab

Check the box labeled 'Limit to single DOS per claim'.
